Things have been hectic here this past couple of weeks but hopefully will slow down soon - well maybe it will.
My mom Maggie (85) is going for surgery on a cancerous tumor on her hand Tuesday and I am amazed at how much pre-op stuff she has had to go through! Poor thing is worn out and she has not even had the surgery yet! She needs a skin graft too and will not be feeling too great for awhile. We will make sure she is comfortable!.
When I watch her these days I can see her getting so frail and it makes me sad. She was always a strong and beautiful, a natural red head woman in her youth. She was 5'7" and now due to osteoporosis she is barely 5'. It must be sad for her but she never seems to show that to us. We are thankful she is a committed Christian and knows that when she leaves this world she will be free of her old and worn out body and be made all new again!
Tomorrow - Saturday May 3rd we are attending an all day event for the promotion of Autism/Aspergers Syndrome awareness. A very famous Austistic lady Temple Grandin Phd will be the main speaker and they selected our Troy Jr to be on the panel of questions and answers about the condition. He is sooo excited!
We bought a new camera today too so we can take photos and videos with out carting my huge Nikon SLR digital with us. We got a new Nikon L18 and it is an awesome little baby camera. I took a video of the kittens and it was so fun. Now I want to get a collection of them to put on to a DVD and my sister Lela has a special video creation program and is really good at editing and effects. I can't wait to make a great DVD of kitty kappers. It will be so fun to play with them too. The camera has a TV mode so they DVDs can be viewed well on the TV - very kewl me thinks!
We will be taking our CFA Grand Champion Russian Blue Queen to visit Donna Fuller's National Winning male Tsar Blu Zinatra for breeding very soon too. Donna has been a breeder for about 38 years and a CFA All Breeds Judge for over 30 years too. She really liked little Zabzab at the last show we attended and held her up and showed her to the crowd and said, "Isn't this the cutest little face you have ever see!" And, of course we did agree!
This is the first time we have sent a queen out and since Donna has excellent breeding and close to us - we decided it was a great thing to do. She is also very trustworthy and loves felines of all breeds. We think it will be a good addition to our bloodlines. We plan on taking one girl per year to her and add the titled males into our program!
We plan on doing this with the Devons too once we get a few girls ready to do it with. Faccinette, Doni and Cessa will be bred in the spring to Pixie Pals Winter Hawk and we hope to have him titled by then too. He is an awsome little fellow and has some great fur on a nice body. Our typy suede girls will need him to suppliment some fur to keep them warm! (smiles) We are so happy that Amaya has agreed to let us have him - he is just what we were looking for.
It looks like sweetheart Burberry is going to be moving to Alaska with Tracy of Freshrexes, where she can spoil him even more than he already is! He is a great little guy who purrs all the time. He is a great candidate to add to a program for his typey look. He is so full of love! We just love his outgoing disposition. We have had several people ask about him but we are set on who we want to have him! He is a special boy and deserves a special breeding home.
Sydonia will be going to Amaya in Oregon. She is going to be a Orgonian Devon - (smiles)! She is very much like Burberry except a little more reserved and demure - very feminine! We have truly been blessed with such a lovely litter and awesome breeders that are adding the bloodlines to the great cats already in their catteries.
We are keeping Faccinette who looks much like Sydonia but not quite a typey. As for Joe Black and Givenchy Coutoure (Fatty Boy) not sure which one to keep. Maybe both to show for Doni. It would be nice to get her a DM. So not sure what we will do with them. Stacy love Joe Black - who she call Jack, Just Jack!
Fatty boy has a really short short face and is also very nice but we don't know what to do yet! I plan on keeping the Cream Cameo form Cessa's litter and Amber and Lela will be adding the two girls from Cessa to their cattery, "Fyre-Fly" Devon Rex.
We are still waiting for Zab to come into season so we can breed her. It is hard to tell what she is waiting for. When the other girls had their baby cats she was all sad because she wanted some of her own and had a cycle - I know I should have bred her then but I was so busy with the other litters - I just did not do it! Now, I have to wait and wait and wait! duh!
Then after all of this we are placing several Russian Blues kitten and retired adults, we are mentoring a great new RB breeder in Canada, I have three web sites to complete (ugh) They are almost done though and then I have corrections to be made with the registry, listings placed into the CFA and FBRL sites and on and on and on the list goes... I have so many more thing going on but this is enough ramblings for now. More photos will be coming soon! I love all the blogs you have been posting and some are so outrageous and the smiles are terrific too! You know like well defined male squirels! LOL!

Hi Everyone,
We have finally had the time to get some new kitty photos posted. We used to get emails letting us know someone had added a new post and now we don't! So, I (DUH!) just noticed all the great posts and photos everyone has been placing on VOX.
I was thinking everyone was just feeling as crummy as I have been and were too busy to place posts. Well, I was wrong! And, I just read all the neat stuff from the neighborhood this morning. Maybe I can figure out what happened and fix it so I can know when someone adds something so I don't miss them again. I do so enjoy seeing what everyone else is up to.
I will try to get comments to each of you throughout the day. There are so many awesome photos, and really cute stories. Thanks, I really enjoy them.
I hope you enjoy all the new kitty photos added last night. I have to take more but it just takes me a little time with each baby cat! (smiles) I need to get a mini digital camera so I can just take snaps as stuff goes on too. I use a huge camera and it can be a pain to set it up and chase my baby cats around. No, they usually don't like sitting for me with all the foolishness of my photo taking - they have so many other important kitty type things to do and it is usually a circus when I try to do it by myself! This is our little cream point male from the litter of Once Upon a Time (Cessa) x Mr Lukas. His eyes are blue and have always been blue and are getting more blue. He is the same color as his mom cat is.
He has awesome fur, a great purrsonality and a really cute and loving boy. He is looking for a new forever home to be a loving pet. We have not started looking to place him yet because we have not had the time to even get the web site done. Almost there though. But we wanted to post his photos since I actually got him done! LOL!
This was the ugly ducking of the Macedonia x Mr Lukas litter - but look at him now! When he was born he was soooo plain and a little gawky - but always precious!
He has a beautiful coat of curls in shaded black and has developed into such a handsome little fellow! He is a bit timid but is very loving. He has been stealing hearts more and more each day!
We may be keeping him to show - he is so lovely and it may be fun. Time will tell all. He is a special boy and we love him lots!
Here are some new photos of Sydonia - she is also of the litter from Macedonia x Mr Lukas. As you can see she is almost the very same color as Burberry Blue except her eye color is changing more slowly than his and of course she is petite and very feminine.
She is a playful little girl and loves to be cuddled! She seems to feel secure when she is being cradled in our arms and carted around the house.
I have been having great success taking photos of our babies now that I am using the bounch flash all of the time. I was messing around with the flash and just for the fun of it used the regular camera flash and the photos came out pretty bad in comparrison - red eye and the flat look - so, back to the bounch flash for good! Plus, the Devies don't blink so much with it. But, the Russian Blues are a completely different story all together! They hear the pre-click sound that the camera makes and blink they go! And, I also think they look at that darned red light that comes on just before the camera snaps! What brats they are! It takes forever to get a nice photo of them. Devies are defineately more fun to photograph!
I was unable to BLOG and/or post photos for quite awhile, so now I am going to try and catch up on my baby cat photos - starting with Burberry Blue. He is the most purrsonable from the litter of Macedonia and Mr Lukas. He is so sweet and purrs all the time. I enjoy taking photos of him - he is a real show off!
We really think he is a blue mink because his coat is not as light as the Blue point we have of a different breed and his eyes have went from blue to yellow/blue and now back to a blue/aqua color. Never-the-less he is still a great little guy.
Most of the photos are larger than the viewable ones so if you click on them you can get a bigger view. And, one of them that has a blue back ground is very large, just to show how cute he is up close and purrsonal. (SMILES)
RAINBOW BRIDGE
| Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.
| All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster. You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart. Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together.... Author unknown...
This is a very close to our hearts subject and we would like to share it. My grandson, Troy, has Autism/Aspergers Syndrome. It is hard to watch him so bravely and emotionally deal with his situation everyday.
Troy is a fortunate young man as his mother, Stacy, is extremely active in the movement to search for a cure and to a greater understanding. He is also a high functioning individual and for that we are grateful. His condition has opened our minds to a greater understanding that faces the needs of our youth today, And, we in our small way are trying to "Pay it Forward" the best we can.
I must also mention, Troy Sr, the loving and devoted father who has over the years tirelessly and with great tenacity worked with his son Troy Jr. to achieve a high degree of skill as a Micro race car driver. With his love and patience Troy Jr, has won many races and touched many hearts!
Kudos to you Johnathon! A brother and friend who watched over Troy throughout the years he attended high school, as only a caring brother could! We love you John, and can never fully express just how much respect and appreciation you deserve!.
When Troy Jr. began high school the counselors informed Stacy that Troy Jr. would never be able to graduate from high school with his classmates due to his disability. Saddened but determined, Stacy met the challenge head on and closely monitored Troy's education. Because of Troy's loving family, some awesome teachers, many caring students, and his patient niece Amber, He not only graduated with his class but did so as an Honor Roll student!
During the evening ceremonies over 250 graduating students gave Troy a standing ovation when his name was called to receive his diploma. Troy is now challenging himself by taking college courses - and again, it is a struggle but we know he can do it with a loving support team! His life goal is to be an advocate for others who suffer from Autism.
This Rose is the first rose of spring from our yard. It was such a vibrant color I had to use it.
This Rose is for you Troy - Mom and Oma Love You!
Here is little Diva and she is growing into such a lovely little lady. She is so demure and quiet compared to her three brothers and sister.
She ate her Oma's Kitten Grewl tonight for the first time - instead of trying to eat the bowl. Once she figured out that the good stuff was inside the bowl that was it! Then it was two feet in the dish - stand back everyone - Diva is eating dinner!
Diva looks like two kitties in one - when she is facing to the left she has a light colored face and when she faces the right it is very dark. So, it is like having two kitties in one!
Her colors are really getting pretty as she is growing into her fur - and she has lots of fur and ever so soft!
Her ears are still unfolding and she has those cute little tippers on the ends too.
Peavey's Once Upon A Time X Kintza's Mr. Lukas
Such a sweet and demure little personality.
By the way, if you are looking for a pink kitty just take their photo on a bright pink blanket!
